Target Species
Tarpon
Captain Austin's favorite fish can be found in the nurseries of the everglades where their spawning season lasts from December to May. Fish for these in the backcountry creeks and bays along with other huge fish.
A Day On the Water
Start your day off by meeting Captain Austin at a dock (at an agreed upon location in key largo) and get geared up for a great time fishing! Hop on the Captain's skiff and set sail to find bait to start a day of great fishing. Once bait is caught, cut across the open waters and the flats to get to your prime fishing spot.
The Vessel
You will be taking your one-of-a-kind fishing trip in a 2023 built East Cape flats boat that is powered by a 90hp motor. The boat is equipt with a remote control trolling motor, a minn-kota shallow water power pole, a center console helm with a seat for two in front and two aft of the helm, a cooler with ice, dry storage for snacks and other loose objects, as well as cupholders for beverages.
How to Prepare
Dress appropriately for the weather:
- A light long-sleeve shirt if it is going to be chilly
- A sweatshirt or rain-jacket if it is going to be rainy
- Sunscreen if it is going to be sunny
- Slip resistant sandles and shoes are recommended
